On the edge of town stands an old wooden barn, yellow with age and bowed by time. Long ago, before chapels and ballrooms, couples snuck here to exchange vows beneath lantern light and hanging rafters.

Some were forbidden lovers.
Some were rushed promises.
Some were lies.
They say the barn listened.
Now, every Valentine’s Day, the barn awakens—decorated not in joy, but in the remains of love that never lasted. The air smells of roses and rot. Music drifts through the cracks in the wood, warped and slow.
Those who enter are welcomed as guests…
and leave as witnesses.
Long after the weddings in the House stopped, the barn tried to build something else—a place of laughter. A traveling Valentine carnival set up nearby during one winter, promising romance, fun, and distraction from heartbreak.
They put up neon signs.

They splashed paint across the walls.

They said laughter would drown out heartbreak.
But… The barn listened.
And the barn doesn’t forget.
The clowns stayed.
 The laughter rotted.
And love became
the punchline.
